Here is part of our shared history. Looking back from the beginning of time and to the present day, our story continues to unfold. “The Dequindre Cut” has had many lives. A natural habitat, a ribbon farm, a train line. When the tracks were abandoned, grasses, trees, pheasants, and graffiti artists took over. What we see now is part of a vision to connect different neighborhoods and make Detroit a more walkable city. As you walk or ride and listen, imagine what once was and what the future might be.

We invite you to take this self -guided tour and listen to Dave McMurray, Alice Sun and Marsha Music with a collective of Detroit musicians and storytellers. We are grateful to the Riverfront Conservancy for hosting the “Core375” sound walk.

Head over to the Dequindre cut and follow the signs with QR codes to access the audio.

The “Core375” sound walk will continue with other events through 2025.
